I want to thank everyone who has spent time visiting the site in the last few days.  The initial suggestions, comments, and words of encouragement are welcome affirmations when embarking on a project of this magnitude.

This website and blog are “shout outs” to the planet about sexual violence awareness and prevention.  I am certain that many of you out there have an opinion so don’t be shy–jump in and comment.  Do it on this blog or on ALMAA’s Facebook page.  Again, open dialog is the only way we can proactively and productively address the issue of sexual violence. -ED

AWARE implies vigilance in observing or alertness in drawing inferences from what one experiences

CONSCIOUS implies that one is focusing one’s attention on something or is even preoccupied by it

AWAKE implies that one has become alive to something and is on the alert

Choose which version you like. This website hopes to create awareness about sexual violence. If we are successful, all visitors will leave willing to embrace ALMAA’s mission and bring about awareness.
